Lektüre ｢レクテューレ Rekutyūre?｣ is a daughter of the Glück Family and the late wife of Denken. She was a childhood friend of Denken and had a frail body which eventually resulted in her succumbing to her death.
Personality[]
Lektüre has a kind and amiable personality, especially around Denken. She is almost always seen by Denken's side and is fully supportive of him since childhood, being one of the few people with whom a younger Denken did not wear a sorrowful or serious look.
Description[]
Lektüre is a human female with long, flowy hair and bangs that covers her forehead with two chest-length strands that frames her face. Fitting for a royal daughter, she is often seen wearing long, frilly dresses complete with a tied ribbon.
Synopsis[]
Lektüre, a daughter of the Glück family, first became acquainted with Denken at a very young age. As a child, she would often have picnics with the young Denken after his mage training, helping the boy move on from his sorrows and smile more often. After years of being by his side during his training, the two finally married with Denken becoming the official son-in-law of the Glück family. Though Glück claims that the marriage only happened due to Denken's achievements, it was obvious even to Macht that the girl had been in love with him for a very long time.
Lektüre had a frail body and an illness that had been the primary motivation for which Denken gathered power and influence in order to prevent her death. She eventually passed away on the night Denken became a distinguished mage which led to him never returning to the city of Weise for years. Despite this, memories of Lektüre remained fresh in Denken's minds, weighing him with constant regret for not returning more often to visit her grave which eventually becomes his main motivation in saving his hometown.
After Denken willingly transmuted himself into gold through Macht's curse, he had a dream of a timeline where Lektüre had not passed away to illness. This allows him to face his regrets about not being able to see his wife again as Lektüre encourages him to continue persevering against Macht no matter what.
